What's going on

Just thought I would update on life, not really much of anything is going on. We are right in the middle of garden season of everything is ripe and ready to pick, and giving lots away. We had a swap at the church last Saturday, it looked like a garage sale inside the church, but everything was free and you just take what you wanted or needed. I got lots of pants for the boys which is great as they get holes in them so fast, and I even got a few shirts for me. I had so many cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, jalapenos, and green chile's that I just took them their and they were gone was so nice. Now we are getting cantaloupe like crazy took 2 cut up ones to the potluck at Pac meeting last night, oh how I love home grown stuff. We picked some potatoes last night as the plants are starting to die so picking a little at a time so we don't have a million at a time, we planted 3 rows so will have potatoes up to our eyeballs soon. The sad news about our garden is both my zucchini plants died, I was so sad, but glad I got some and was getting to the point of getting tired of them, so I guess it died at a good time. This week I have had Cabbage like crazy, Aaron came home from school with a cabbage plant and wanted to put it in the garden, WOW it grew and grew, we picked them on Sat. two HUGE cabbages, what do I do with these is what I say, well I made 5 batches of egg rolls, and froze them for snacking, I made coleslaw for the first time for the pac meeting, and tonight we are having cabbage soup and then I am hoping they will be gone, as we only have half of one left, YEAH! I will post pictures of them when I get around to loading my pictures on the computer.
Well Sunday was a neat day, we went to church and I was already feeling close to the spirit as I had been fasting for a dear friend, Love ya Jana. When this family came to church, and Ed went over to talk to them and found out that they had broken down and their car needed a transmission and was in the shop, so they were in a hotel since then hoping to have it done on Monday, Well this family walked 4 miles to the church, I am not sure I would have done that with 3 small children like they have. Ed felt inspired to offer them a ride home and to have them over for dinner so their kids could play and get out of the hotel, I was hesitant as you all know, I wanted my house to be perfect and I knew it wasn't as I had just rushed the kids out the door and barely made it on time to church. So I took them to their hotel to change and then to our house. I am so grateful that I didn't let the worldly things get in my way of being blessed, they are such a humble family, and were a good example to me. They kept a positive attitude even when they have no place to live once they get to Michigan, they just have faith that it will all work out, so they are planning to camp until their house closes the end of August and they can find a house their they like, such faith, I am so glad I have all of you and this sweet family for examples, thanks for all you do to help me remember what is truly important.
Last night was Pac meeting, Josh's last one as he turned 11 in July and is now a Blazer scout and with me YEAH!! We had it at the scout camp and had a fire and a pot luck meal, was really nice. Josh received some weeblos pins and his conservation badge. The main award he got and which I am so proud of him is his Arrow of light. Those of you who know what it is isn't an easy thing to get for such a young age, it is equal to the eagle scout in Scouting, but for cub scouts. Josh was determined and was so excited to work on his cub scouting, he loves scouts. He was given his arrow of light badge and then they made him a plaque, I will have to post a picture, it is really neat. I am so happy for Josh as he is so happy, what an accomplishment, GOOD JOB JOSH.
Well now that I have babbled forever about nothing I will close, thanks for being my friends
.
