This is what it looks like now, a mess, but hopefully soon the ground will settle and we can plant grass and it will look nice again. Messy and VERY expensive.
Late at night kids helping fill in the trench, what a long day.
Ed and Aaron putting in the leach field drain system.
Hello I am still around. Life has been crazy this passed month. First off with relocating you have to have inspections and what not, so we passed the termite, but had some things to fix in the house, nothing major, just a light switch to mount that was in a closet that we never noticed wasn't mounted, and the sill in the garage side door needed to be tightened down and on the water heater it needed a pipe on the release valve. So those were very minor. Then the well guy tested our well to find out it was good, but our water had a bacteria in it well a minor one since it was at a 1, but anything over a .5 they make you treat. so a few weeks back we found how to clorinate our well our selves and so did that at night and let it sit all night and all the next day, so no water, that is a pain when you have kids and they get dirty, but we have our barrels so that was nice for flushing toilets and such. We haven't tested the well water again, but hope it passes this time. Then we had our septic pumped to find out our leach field needed to be replaced, that is thousands of dollars, really sad to put all this money in and be moving, but we don't have a choice if we want the company to buy our house if it doesn't sell. So last weekend we had our leach field put in, my back yard is a MESS. same day we did that our water heater leaked and needed to be replaced so we were without water that whole day which was a mess since kids were playing in the big pile of dirt they took out of the trenches. at midnight we came inside and started working on the water heater, we got it connected but not to the gas, so we had water, just not hot water. Next day Ed got the parts he needed and we have hot water again, YEAH!!
So enough with the bad and expensive stuff. This last weekend we went to CO to house hunt and be with Ed since he works there all week. We had some fun hiking and being in the mountains. We saw some pretty houses, and put an offer on one, but it is bank owned and they aren't looking at the offers till it had been on the market 5 days, ours was the first offer in, and so far no other offers were made, we hope over the weekend there aren't either and that come Monday we will hear something. Our house here hasn't sold and we have about 30 days left till they buy it no matter what, would be nice to sell and get the bonus, but either way we win I guess. We came home last night and the septic guy came today to repump the septic, that in itself is a story, and Ed made them come back, we have been going back and forth for weeks, hope this is finally over with.
Here are pictures from when we put in a new leach field, what a mess.
