this week

This has been a HARD week. Of course adjusting to having a dog again and teaching her things like not to go potty in the house is time consuming. Four out of 5 of my kids this week decided to get sick, and not with a fast flu, but with a 3-5 day flu that had fevers, throwing up, sore throats, red scratchy eyes. It was so miserable. During the same time as I am tending to sick kids my dog shows signs of Kennel cough. They told us they show signs about 3-10 day after you take animal home. On day 5 she stated giving signs, at her checkup with the vet she was fine but 2 days later is so awful and having trouble breathing and is coughing and throwing up on my carpet. I wanted a healthy playful dog, not one I needed to watch and clean up after and force feed and eye dropper water into her mouth, and give antibiotics by force. She is so weak and just wants to sleep, refuses to eat or drink. The kids are sad cause she isn't playful like she was, and has no desire to run and play. We really love Layla and hope she gets better soon, it is hard to start loving her and then see her suffer. We hope she gets better soon and will be her happy self again. This has been a hard week, and glad all the kids are well again, and hopefully I can get Layla well soon.
